Decorating Days are Monday thru Wednesday, Nov 25, 26 and 27 from 9 to 6pm. No reservation or appointment is needed.
The Enchanted Forest at Christmas in the Park is the largest art project in the city, and a beloved tradition. We offer 600 trees for anyone in the community to decorate.
- We provide the tree (6 to 8ft tall), a sign, access to power and a string of lights. That tree is safely staked in our Park – nothing for you to do but decorate.
- Decorating days are Nov 25, 26 and 27 from 9-6 pm.
- The theme this year is “A Green Christmas.” This can mean anything you want – sustainable decorations, green decorations, green animal decorations, etc.
- We ask for a $25 undecorating deposit, refundable when you return to the park to strip your tree of decorations.
About Tree Decorating
- Decorating days for this year are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Nov 25-27 from 9am-6pm. Please check-in at the information booth to receive your tree assignment. No appointment needed.
- We provide one 8×10 sign with your tree name. Company logos are included on the signs for our sponsor trees.
- Decorating trees is fun. For their safety, children must remain with an adult at all times.

- Your decorations must withstand wind and rain. Use sturdy wires to attach ornaments to prevent them from being blown or knocked off the tree. Please do not use zip ties to attach ornaments.
- No food (pasta, cookies, cereal).
- Paper ornaments must be laminated.
- We provide a string of 100 LED lights. You may attach an additional 2 strings of LED lights. A tree-topper counts as a string of lights. We have an assortment of colors you can choose from. If the color is important to you, it is perfectly acceptable to bring your own lights they must be LED.
- Absolutely NO flocking or spray painting of any kind on your tree.
- Your tree is approximately 7ft tall. We recommend a minimum of 80 ornaments for your tree.
- Bring your own tools and supplies (pliers, scissors, tape, ornament hangers, small stepladder). We cannot provide any supplies.
- Any decorations on the ground must fit under your tree. A tree skirt is acceptable – must be less than 6ft circumference.
- We do not permit any extra items around your tree. You may add one extra sign (8 ½ by 11). Additional signs will be removed.
- Your $25 deposit will be returned once you undecorate your tree the first week of January. Or, you can let us know you’d prefer us to take care of it for you and we’ll keep the $25.
